I must be the best hotel guest ever. I've seen what some of the rooms look like after people check out or even when they're still staying here - they're trashed. These poor housekeepers have to pick up trash, air out the non-smoking rooms that have been smoked in and deal with peoples dirty clothing strewn everywhere. I clean up after myself, put my own clothing and clutter away. I don't make them use fresh sheets every day, I put my...."don't change the bed linens today" sign on the door. I use the do not disturb button on the weekends when I don't need service and I use the need service button when I want it. All they really have to do is come in and give me fresh towels, toilet paper and water. I can't believe what kind of messes people leave for these housekeepers. It's hard work to begin with, I've cleaned a few hotel rooms in a previous career give em' a brake!
Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there. Today is a holiday, I don't need service today, I hope they can get done early and go spend time with their families.
Today, I'd like to find the zoo. I hear that they will let you hold the tiger and lion cubs! "G" from work said you can hold the monkey's too, but with my luck they'd just throw their poop at me! LOL. If I don't make it there, I'll explore the downtown district, they have tons of monuments, elaborate parks and it's the one direction I haven't been in yet from the hotel. I also want to go to the smaller bazaar across from the hotel. I have the shopping bug. Tomorrow is the big day with "D", but I want to see what they have here. And, I want some more bananas. They're cheaper at the bazaars than the markets.
First, I have to get motivated to go! It's already 11 am. :)
