Our shopping trip

Okay,  Yesterday D and I escaped from work, with permission, to go shopping for St. Patricks day stuff for myself and my boss.  We left the plant around 3 and had a ball!  The next two posts are a couple of pics I took and random musings.  I also saw many new things to go explore and take pictures so I can make my insane or strange observations.  Stay tuned.

Sorry about the tree, but this building looks a little fallic to me.....hehehehe.

Okay, it's a little dark but I didn't want to be too obvious.  We were at the Korean counter at the bazzar.  I noticed, that the women sit on rugs on their knees all day and dole out their wares.  This is an ergonomic NIGHTMARE.  I cannot imagine sitting all day like this.  Also, something that kind of turned me off to prepared foods at the bazzar,  they let people sample.  Which is fine, but they spear it with a communal fork, feed it to the customer and don't wash it before putting it back in the bowl! I about died.  I suppose whatever fermenting liquid they were using at the Korean counter probably killed the bacteria but still....I'll pass on that.  D had no problem, but then again....it's normal for them.  I'd probably get sicker than a dog.

After two days of trying to buy my ticket to Khiva, D finally succeeded.  It was a money issue.  First they wouldn't take Sum because I'm American.  Then, one of my $100 bills they wouldn't accept because it was too old.  Finally, she was able to change the old bill and get the ticket bought.  Sheesh.  Glad she's used to the red tape!
