A few random pictures on the way home....

The top of the building says Tashkent City of Friendship and Peace.  I like it.  You can see this on your way out of the airport. 

Okay, this building cracks me up.   Can you tell by the picture that there is no roof?  I thought it was strange the the whole outside of the building was finished and there was no work continuing on the roof.  So I asked my driver what the deal was.   He  said that the building that was there was an eyesore.  This is an important street, so the owner of the building must "improve the exterior of the buillding." per the government.    So he tore the old building down and erected this skeleton, minus the roof.  I suppose it works, but seems to be a little expensive if you ask me.  I just have to laugh everytime I go by it though.
