I decided to try a couple of things today. On the right is their version of Mostaccioli. It was okay, but there was little tomato sauce. It was more like onion, beef and noodles. On the left is a "cutlet" which in Uzbekistan is ground up meat seasoned with onion and misc. other stuff. Pretty much identical to the kabob I had Monday. It was good. I will eat more cutlets. (I sound like I just conquered my own kingdom or something.....!) I just needed to make sure what kind of meat we were talking about. (Beef) They also cover it in a tomato sauce. I wonder why they don't use this tomato sauce on the mostaccioli? Also, they must have bread to mop up sauces. This, I get - coming from a household where my dad eats bread with EVERYTHING. (And now makes his own bread.) "D" gave me a piece of her fruit to try, it is a very bitter, hard melon. I have nothing to compare it to in the US. It was good though, the first bite is deceiving, but once you take two or three it grows on you.
Also, last night I was tired so I just ordered the margarita pizza again. They really pay attention to me because I normally pick off the tomatoes and leave them in a heap on the plate. I don't want the juice to pollute my cheese. They left them off for me last night! Next time, I may request that they cut up some of their awesome green olives and put them on there in place of the tomatoes. Maybe they'll add it to the menu and call it Crazy American Lady Pizza.
