Here's the wonderful breadbasket that came with dinner tonight. There was also a "salsa" that you could dip your bread in. I now know why everyone smells like onions around here. It was almost all onions, little tomato. I took a pass on the salsa. I also ordered the Beef Tenderloin with potato gratin and mushroom sauce. The sauce and potato were awesome. The tenderloin, not so much. I've been spoiled with organic or all natural grass fed beef at home and this was not what I was used to. Definitely the diet they feed their cows. I forgot to take a picture....I was hungry.
On another note, there were two gentlemen in the dining room who were driving me nuts, the one was obviously German and complained about everything. The American with him just kind of sat there and eventually said the wine was fine. The German whined that the wine was too warm, his tenderloin yesterday was overcooked, he had something for everything. Annoying. I had to wait way too long for my bill and had to listen to that. This is why I like room service but was feeling rather shut-in so decided to eat in the restaurant.
