I've had 2031 page views.....who knew. Thanks for reading my ramblings.
Anyway, yesterday was low key as usual. Went to the bazaar and bought some more jewelry, bananas and hair conditioner. Then, stopped at the cafe I like to have lunch and read my Kindle. After that, went home and had a nap and played on my computer for a couple hours. Around 9:30 the winds really whipped up and same nasty rains came whipping through. Around, 10...a light earthquake hit as well. At first I thought it was the wind, but I felt the floor shake...that's the second earthquate I've ever felt in my life. The first being, I think last year, when a quake hit Maryland and we could feel the aftershocks in Detroit. I'm starting to wonder if I should pack an emergency bag to grab in the middle of the night in case of evacuation. In it would be cash, passport, cellphones, a bra (lol) and my glasses. All things critical for me to escape here! I suppose for the most part, my backpack is always ready and packed to go for work in the morning...with the exception of weekends.
Today, Sunday I've got got a long walk planned with a trip to the market on the way back to the hotel. I suppose I should get dressed and put my Kindle down though.....Next weekend is my trip to Khiva with D. It'll be a jam packed weekend, I can already tell. I'm wondering how I should pack....either way, I'm excited to meet her family and see an ancient city.
