Our Uzbek style hotel...very quaint!

Here's our hotel.  It's a traditional style Uzbek hotel, constructed in 2004.  I paid a whopping $50 USD for the night.  It included breakfast.   It was right downtown Samarkand.

I had a single room, so I got two twin beds.  Not too bad comfortable wise.

Lots of carved wood, wood floors.  Note the tiny tv and satellite.  The only english channel was BBC news.  Of course Hillary Clinton was on when I turned it on.  I later found Russian MTV and they were having a Rhianna marathon so I was happy.

Basic, but huge bathroom.  I'm sitting on the toilet taking this.  No, NOT USING the toilet.  The bathroom was as big as the room.

Wood paneled ceiling with light fixture...

The best coffee I've had since I've been here.  It was nice and strong and I could dilute it with cream and sugar to how I wanted it.  Mmmm..

Here's a better picture of the room...I had to stand outside the door to get the right angle.

The courtyard where guests can take tea.

The lobby and breakfast area.

THE BAR!  All important.

I liked this gigantic chess set.  I think they had it so when intoxicated you can play.  LOL
