I feel like i have to lock all the things I want to keep in my room safe. So I just went to try to open it, no dice. I can't get in. My plane ticket and all my cash is in there for my trip tomorrow. I tried to call the front desk, no answer. So I go down there, there's two employees sitting there chatting while I stood there for a minute before they even noticed. Now, I'm waiting for security. So help me God, if they have to drill into it to open it they will. My camera is in there too. I'm happy I tried to open it tonight instead of tomorrow morning. I'd really be in a panic then.
I'm sure it's nothing more than a dead battery. There's a 9-volt behind the button panel. I wasn't willing to disconnect it for fear that the code would be lost and I really don't want to "lick-test" the foreign battery. :)
Some of you have wondered if I left my clutch at the Embassy. No, I had it when I came home. I went to the bar for one more drink and I had my phone and about 100,000 Sum in it. I have my phone and I have the Sum. I distinctly remember placing it in my drawer. Even though it was a month ago, I remember that night well.
I know this seems trivial to most, but this is my temporary home and I'm not comfy at the moment. It's putting me on edge. I'm really tired today and then this stuff with the safe is sending me into panic mode. So far I'm calm, but I have a bad headache forming behind my left eye. So, I'll probably take another Lexapro before bed and be done with it.
In other news, I did go tour three other hotels and I have selected a new one. Now, I'm just waiting for Purchasing to negotiate an agreement. I'll describe the hotels I rejected and why in another post.
Just seems like it's been a crap week. My phone service was cut off yesterday due to a switch fire in Thailand. It's still out of whack, but I can at least roam and get/receive calls. And, now...they replaced the battery and it still doesn't work. Panicing.
