I awoke to a strange alarm sound. I looked at my phone, kindle and finally my iPad. It was a Skype call from Pete. I fumbled around until I was able to answer it. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what it was. Anyway, talked to Pete this morning about Spain.....half asleep mind you, but I sort of talked. :)
I was observing other drivers and whatnot on the way to work this morning. They need more busses here. Some busses are so packed that there are people basically sitting on people. I would not like this at all. Can you imagine what they're like when it's 110 degrees out! BTW, it's supposed to be 90 degrees on Wednesday! Hello summertime! I love it, the fountains are on and flowers are planted.
I downloaded and watched the Anthony Bourdain No Reservations episode about Uzbekistan. While I like his show normally, I don't think he did the country of Uzbekistan much justice in this episode. It mainly focused on his Russian pal's agenda and a wedding and missed the really good parts of Tashkent. He did spend a lot of time in Samarkand....I'm going there this week so I'll have to see if he did a good job there. He was respectful of the culture though...I'll give him that.
I was thinking about my fur-babies this morning. Especially Skippy. I miss him and it's still not set in that he's not at home waiting for me. I was just thinking that I made sure to go back and give him extra kisses before I left. I'm glad I did. Woodrow on the other hand, is probably tired of being moved from one home to another. He only spent 6 months with me before going to mom and dad's and he put up a fight goinig there. Do I have mom and dad bring him to my house for the 2 weeks I'm probably home?....I'm thinking yes. But I'm not sure. I want to see him....that's for certain. We'll see how it pans out.
